Leo Pharma to cut 200 jobs and reorganize

Danish Leo Pharma cuts down on staff in its global operations. Around 200 positions will be cut, while 50 will be moved to Poland.

In recent years, things have gone well financially for the Danish dermatology company Leo Pharma. Despite this, staffing is now being cut. The reason, according to the company's CEO Cristophe Bourdon, is that it is far behind its competitors, reports Norwegian Medwatch.

Leo Pharma's reorganization mainly affects employees in Denmark. According to the Norwegian news site, 100 positions will be cut at the Danish headquarters in Ballerup. In total, around 200 positions will disappear and another 50 positions are planned to be moved to Poland.

– The company has undergone a transformation that has been ongoing since 2021, so what is happening now is a fairly natural next step. We are changing our innovation models a bit, similar to what other companies are doing now, says Anja Verhaug, Nordic General Manager, to the newspaper.
