Your partnering tool - step by step

Profile, agenda and requests. Those are the basic steps to follow to use the partnering tool for Biotech Forum. Follow our guide to successful partnering!
Starting date. Messages/Requests and Agenda/Schedule tabs become visible approximately six weeks before the event. The exact date will be listed under ”Important Dates”.

Profile. The first step in the partnering process is completing your profile. Your profile checklist highlights completed parts of your profile with checkmarks and incomplete parts with exclamations. Under the Edit Profile tab, you can edit your personal profile, company profile, products & technologies, financing information, management, and upload a company logo. Remember, the more complete your profile is, the more often you will appear in search results. Under products & technologies, pipelines and product strategies can be entered in the ‘biotech’, ‘medtech’, and ‘technology’ fields.

Availability. Before you can send a message request, indicate when you will be available for one-to-one meetings during the event on your agenda/schedule page. Your default settings will have all timeslots set to ‘unavailable’. Click on ‘change’ to make yourself available for meetings. Or click on ‘set all to available’ to open your entire day for one-to-one meetings. You can coordinate your meetings with the rest of the conference program. Is there a session you don’t want to miss? Block the timeslot by clicking ‘add’.

Time and place.
If a meeting is agreed upon, the partnering tool will take care of finding a time and place that works for both parties.

Search. You can look for companies you want to meet with under the search tab. Searching for parties to meet with can be done through tabs for: free text search, company, licensing opportunities, delegates, a-z companies and a-z delegates. Once a company is located, this page will give you access to a complete profile. Click ‘show details’ to view a full profile. You can also ‘print’ or ‘bookmark’ the company to review later, or enter a meeting request right from your search results.

Inbox. Your messages/requests page is your company inbox. Keep track of in and outgoing requests here. You can sort by any of the column headings (just like a regular inbox), or filter using the side bar. Use the ‘in conversation with’ view to see all messages with a specific company. Or use the ‘custom filter’ to view only the messages you want to see.

Answer. Has someone requested a meeting with you? You can: ‘accept’, ‘decline’ or ‘reply with a message’ for more information

Adding colleagues. You can add colleagues to a meeting by clicking the ‘change participants’ button.

Agenda. Meetings are scheduled during the week prior to the conference. Your scheduled meetings will be displayed in your meeting schedule. Remember to pick up your latest schedule onsite. Plans always change and you should check your account at the event frequently.
