Product Specialist at Gradientech AB, Uppsala



Gradientech is a young, expanding life science company developing and selling innovative cutting-edge assays and software solutions for advanced cell response analysis - our customers are academic and industrial researchers within areas such as cancer- and stem cell research.

As Product Specialist you will be responsible for working with both prospective clients, as well as existing customers to effectively discuss the features and benefits of our microfluidic platform CellDirector®, and continue the work to gain acceptance and escalate the momentum we have created so far in cell biology. You will have a sales role as well as a supporting role and you will be the expert on Gradientech’s CellDirector® applications and report directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

You are result oriented with good social skills, you like customer contacts - both by phone and direct contact - and enjoy independent work and a lot of responsibility. The position is based in Uppsala, but key part of your time is spent at customer sites.

JOB DESCRIPTION

* Responsible for working closely with Gradientech’s customers, as well as prospects, to implement our microfluidic platform CellDirector® in their research

* Responsible for producing new Application protocols and sales supporting tools, often in collaboration with external users

* Responsible for assigned sales activities and achieving budget and sales in prioritized areas

* Responsible for customer activities such as webinars or workshops

* Participate in exhibitions or conferences, organize customer seminars

* Responsible for customer support, report on customer feedback

* Responsible for handling quotations and helping out with logistics

RELEVANT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Minimum 3 years of scientifically relevant education (cell biology/biotechnology)

* Experience in sales/sales support activities in an international environment

* Strong ability to transfer scientific information into customer support material that will provide help to customers but also drive the sales process

* Ability to capture business opportunities from scientific trends and customer input and communicate these internally

* Goal and result oriented, also in achieving sales goals

* Enthusiastic and social personality - genuine interest in customer contacts

* Good presentation skills

* Able to work independently and with a problem-solving attitude

* Fluent in written and oral English

* Willing also to do less-glorious-work that goes with being a small start-up company

* Flexible for business travels
